"This box is made from forged, formed, and fabricated steel. Through the use of heat, scale builds up on the surface of the vessel creating a texture for the enamel paint to attach too. This work is about the small details found in an industrial landscape and the methods used to create a structure that will withstand time. 

In my work I'm excited about creating division of zones, layers and the challenge of making all the parts come together. Manipulation of pattern and elements commonly found in these visited sites come through in my work from forging, forming, and fabricating steel. Service has become a key concept in my understanding of craft, therefore creating objects with purpose or function is satisfying to me."
